How about a little context
Howdy, I’m Lindsey, a gal in her 20s, out in the woods, livin’ that off-the-grid-tiny-house dream life with my two cats, Henry and Toast. Now, this wasn’t always the plan. With how accustomed I was to modern plumbing and electricity, I hadn’t considered it a realistic option.
I’d originally gone to college for a degree in health care. Unsure of what I really wanted to do in this world, I figured I’d spend my days working a well-paying job, in a field that best suited my personality. But as I neared the end of my college career, disaster struck my family, and my life kinda got flipped on it’s head. I had a change in perspective, and a change in heart. I decided to pack my things and head to hills, to start life anew. I phoned up my equally troubled friend Chelsea, and we made a plan. We got an apartment together, in a town we both loved, and set out on this new adventure together.
Not long after moving there, we reconnected with a friend of ours, Jenn. As time went on, and friendships grew stronger, Jenn eventually invited me and Chelsea to move out onto her land with her, to build tiny houses of our own. The idea of living out in nature, in homes that we owned seemed too good to be true. At first, it was just a dream, a conversation, a goal. But then, it started to become a plan. And next, that plan manifested into action. And after enough action, we started to see results. A tangible outcome. And while we’re still far from being finished, we’re even further from where we began.

With a well-seasoned, off-grid, tiny-house-living vet on my team, the transition out here has been much smoother than if I were on my own. Shout out to Jenn for paving the way and putting in the work.
